With all the bad press that the city of Flint, Michigan has garnered in the press lately, it was my wish to show the beauty of the Flint River. Standing on a small foot bridge at sunset provided the perfect warm glow to capture the raw beauty of this urban water way.
Black and white is very useful for helping to create certain moods, especially in winter scenes. This photo shoot was shot in early December in the city of Marquette in the upper peninsula. The use of levels combined with the black and white overlay helps to draw out the wood texture on many structures.
